A key aspect of ongoing digitalisation is the use of HSI (High Speed ISOBUS) as the new communication standard in agricultural technology. HSI is based on Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) technology and, thanks to increased transmission speeds, enables significantly higher data rates. HARTING supports ANEDO with suitable SPE connectivity in the form of the internationally standardised T1 Industrial interface according to IEC 63171-6. This gives users the choice between a D-coded interface for conventional Ethernet or Single Pair Ethernet.
ANEDO’s "display" product platform allows agricultural equipment manufacturers to quickly and easily configure their individual variant—a combination of “customised off the shelf”: tailored to the customer’s needs and yet quickly available without lengthy development times. Thanks to the SPE interface, the platform is already HSI-ready and thus meets the requirements of the next generation of cross-manufacturer communication between tractor and implement—an important contribution to future-proofing.
In addition to today’s ISOBUS functionalities, HSI will also enable the integration of digital camera systems. Through image processing with and without AI, entirely new sensory possibilities are opening up, allowing for innovative control and automation in agriculture technology. ANEDO is also actively involved in the standardisation of High Speed ISOBUS leading relevant working groups within the Agricultural Industry Electronics Foundation (AEF).
