Since HARTING's beginnings, we have seen ourselves as part of society and as active contributors to our environment – a philosophy that grew out of the attitude of our founding family and has been carried on by subsequent generations.
As a family business with strong roots and a global reach, we are committed to supporting places where people live, learn, meet and grow. Whether in the social or cultural sphere, in sport, education or associations – we promote what brings people together. Because we are convinced that together we can create value for ourselves and our environment.
In associations and scientific organizations, we meet like-minded people and join our forces. The exchange of ideas and discussions lead to a common position, which finds its way into society in the form of guidelines for action, political positions or even standards.
We also want to strengthen our roots. That is why we provide targeted support for cultural, sporting and family activities locally and abroad. It's the many small things that create a space worth living for us – a space which we like to help shape.
Every year, HARTING in Italy supports the Red Cross. Its volunteers work day in, day out to help the population. They provide medical assistance, carry out rescue operations and help to combat poverty. Part of the collaboration is the “CRI4KIDS” project. This makes it possible to provide families with young children in difficult circumstances with food and products for early childhood.
Every year, HARTING USA supports the “Explore Showcase”. At this career and education fair, around 2,500 eighth-grade students discover a wide range of career prospects. On site, the young people gain insights into the curricula of various high schools, all of which have different subject focuses – so-called “magnet schools”.
In Spain, HARTING supports the "Centro Estela". This educational centre helps young people with mental disabilities on their way to greater independence. By improving their practical skills, they can lead independent adult lives.
The non-profit organisation “Amics de la Gent Gran” combats loneliness and social isolation among older people. It works with volunteer visiting services, group activities and awareness campaigns to integrate single senior citizens into society. HARTING in Spain supports the organisation and thus contributes to an inclusive society.
We are the main sponsor of the first Wroclaw AMP-Futbol team. This is a football team for people with disabilities. The initiative is another step towards breaking down barriers, responding to the needs of people with disabilities and connecting different lifestyles.

In the KiTec competition, schoolchildren work in groups to demonstrate their inventiveness, skill, team spirit and enjoyment of being creative. HARTING in Germany provides the materials for the young inventors and awards the annual HARTING Research Prize to one of the teams from the participating primary schools. The project introduces children to technology at an early age.
Did you know that handball is the second largest sport in Europe? For our boys at the German Handball Federation or GWD Minden, however, it is probably the largest. As a main handball youth sponsor, we also support the passion of our young professionals. In addition to encouraging to the sporting and team spirit of our handball players, we promote countless other regional and national sporting activities.
Working in an association means listening, getting to know other opinions, and shaping them. In doing so, I get to meet clients, market participants and partners who are working on current topics as well as economic and technical challenges.
