Our four key themes highlights
How HARTING is at the forefront of innovation:
1. Plug & Play connectivity
solutions from a single source
Discover the complete range of services offered by our competence center, from engineering, 3D simulation and lifetime testing to your customized jumper solution; in collaboration with our partner Studer Cables.
Digital Automatic Coupling (DAC) - The intelligent connection for the rail freight transport
The Digital Automatic Coupling (DAC) is a key technology digitalisation of rail freight transport. Beside automatic coupling, it enables the continuous transmission of power and data throughout the entire train formation, laying the foundation for intelligent, connected freight trains.
We support vehicle manufacturers and operators with tailored engineering and cabling solutions that enable rapid integration and efficient retrofitting.
2. Future-proof data transmission
for rolling stock and signalling
Explore latest developments for connectivity such as Single Pair Ethernet (SPE), modular and UIC IT solutions up to Cat. 8 for new developments and retrofit projects. Learn also more about our contribution to the DAC project.
USB charging points for public transport
Our USB chargers, developed specifically for railway applications, enable passengers and drivers to charge mobile devices conveniently at their seats or workstations.
In addition to the proven USB-A and USB-C versions, we are expanding our portfolio with the new USB-C Power Delivery (PD) version. Thanks to significantly higher charging power, even high-performance smartphones, tablets and many laptops can now be charged quickly and reliably.
3. Digital fast track for engineers
new configurators, digital twin, and more
Experience how our new configurators and the digital twin (AAS data) can help speed up your product development processes. Find the perfect fit solution, including all needed files and data sheets automatically.
4. Innovation for sustainability
Lighter products, digital product pass and circular economy concepts
Significant weight reduction can be enabled by lighter interfaces and cable assemblies. Experience the digital product pass to access the product carbon footprint (PCF) of our products. Discuss further ideas for circular economy.
